"Family
Stories - every family has them. Told at gatherings of the relatives or
the extended family, they are those stories about 'the time when' that
help family define their identity and stay in touch with who they are."---
Donald Davis.
Every person has a family tree its a visual that documents
generations of growth within their family. Each limb on the tree is
a new extension of the family that brings a new set of stories that
tell of two people meeting, falling in love, and creating a new vibrant
life together. These are the stories we want to capture and share with
loved ones.
Rebekah has been involved professionally with photography
since 2001 when she began photographing weddings with her husband, Charlie.
Rebekah and Charlie pride themselves on the care they take to unobtrusively
document their client's story about the creation of a new branch on
their family tree. Their photography company has taken them throughout
the United States, Europe and the Caribbean, and their photographic
successes have been featured in various wedding magazines. In addition
to photographing weddings, Rebekah specializes in capturing the excitement
and joy of other stories within a family's life - pregnancies, births,
and other events that surround families growing and coming together
in celebrations.
Rebekah grew up in Wilton, Connecticut and is the fourth of five children
in her large, close-knit family. She graduated from college with a degree
in Accounting. Her career as an Accountant has taken her to many states,
including Washington DC and Las Vegas, NV. It has also provided great
opportunities for development, such as learning to speak Russian and
working in her organization's satellite offices in Moscow and Kiev.
Her career also enabled her to realize another passion. While in Las
Vegas, Rebekah worked for a company involved in the wedding industry.
In addition to handling the financials of the company she became involved
with couples planning their weddings. She found great joy in being part
of an event where two people come together and knew she wanted to continue
to be a part of special moments in people's lives. Rebekah always had
an interest in photography, but it wasn't until she met Charlie in Las
Vegas that she realized the true creative path she was meant to take.
While Rebekah still practices accounting the joy she finds from creatively
being part of a family's life as they tell their story is most fulfilling.
Rebekah currently resides in Atlanta, GA. she enjoys reading, listening
to music and is slowly learning to play the piano. She also volunteers
her time to babies who have been placed into the state's care system.
